SeedChange has been placed on the Securities and Exchange Commission’s “PAUSE list.”

PAUSE is an acronym that stands for “Public Alert: Unregistered Soliciting Entities.”

The PAUSE list includes firms that the SEC alleges are utilizing.

deceptive information to mostly non-U.S. investors…, impersonating (or acting as) a fictitious regulator

SeedChange is listed as an organization mimicking a legitimate company on the December 2021 PAUSE list.”

SeedChange first surfaced on the radar of BehindMLM in December 2020. The business operates a Ponzi scam.

False affiliations with multiple fictional firms are linked to SeedChange’s Ponzi scam.

This is consistent with SeedChange mimicking both SeedChange Execution Partners and its parent business, Yosemite Execution Partners.

SeedChange went bankrupt in or around September 2021. The Ponzi scam was relaunched with the same name but a different internet domain.

Since then, the scammers have created another another Ponzi scheme, this time targeting the parent business of SeedChange Execution Partners, Yosemite Execution Partners.

In August, the domain “yosemite-ep.com” was registered. The registration was last updated on November 17th, the same day as the Yosemite EP website became up.

Yosemite EP is a Ponzi scam that claims to offer daily returns of up to 1.8%.

Scammers are promoting Yosemite EP as a substitute to SeedChange:

If you look at the source code for the Yosemite EP website, you’ll notice that it still uses SeedChange’s favicon:

Yosemite EP, like SeedChange, operates a Ponzi scam based on fake association:

Yosemite EP, as far as I can tell, is not MLM, hence BehindMLM will not be writing a separate review.

Alexa provides an explanation for why SeedChange fraudsters have restarted for the third time.

According to Alexa traffic estimates for SeedChange’s current website, traffic has been declining since late October:

A few weeks later, the Yosemite EP was released.

At the time of publication, Alexa identified the United States as the only significant source of traffic to SeedChange’s website (97%).

Yosemite EP’s website isn’t yet old enough to give solid data, but it’s most likely the same story.

It remains to be seen whether US authorities take additional action against SeedChange and Yosemite EP.
